Sally is on King St in Newtown, Sydney’s funky capitol. It’s a bustling strip full of edgy stores, world cuisine and of course, funky bars. Zanzibar at street level is as funky as you can get. But all is not what it seems as you climb the stairs of this iconic venue.
Well look at this. You wouldn’t have guessed a terrace with such a gorgeous, peaceful ambience could exist in lively Newtown. Beautiful views across the inner suburbs and an Italian Riviera character make you feel like you could be anywhere in the world.
To have an evening meal up here is really special. The menu has a fantastic range of dishes; there really is something for everyone here. Everything from steaks and burgers to seafood paella and of course to their signature Tapas stands for two. A great way to try all of their fresh and really tasty entrees’, and there couldn’t be a better place to do so.
One flight of stairs down and I’m in this fabulous lounge bar. It’s has a great eclectic, vibrant feel to it and bar staff really know how to show you a good time. It’s always a good sign when you see the staff having as much fun as you are.
